I can still remember seven years ago when I applied for an American Express card online. It took more than one month for me to get approved. Nowadays it’s a lot different. With instant approval, you usually receive notice via email of your acceptance within seconds of completing an online card application. If you have a good to excellent credit record you can even get an easy approval credit card with guaranteed 10,000 limit or an easy instant approval student card, but what happens if have a bad credit score? Are you doomed to pay all your purchases in cash? Certainly not so don’t despair.

The first alternative for people with bad credit score is to get a “secure card.” There are some major card issuers which requires applicants to make a deposit or what we call “secure cards.” If you have a bad paying history, the most logical thing to do is save a little money to be used later on to “pre pay” a card. A secure card is a no credit card because the amount you can charge against the card is determined by the amount of your deposit. If you deposit, for example, $5,000, then you can charge up to $5,000 only. Hence, there is no actual “credit” being extended. Typically, these cards are marketed as no credit credit cards because of the fast, easy instant card approval.

The second alternative is to search for a “bad credit credit plastic” and find an easy approval unsecured credit, but they should try to resolve their bad credit issues and prevent further damage to their credit score.

While there are plenty of bad credit credit plastic choices available, they can do more harm than good if not used wisely. This is one way for a consumer to repair his damaged reputation by making up to date payments on his bad card and eventually upgrading to the real credit card in the future. And also a bad card charges a higher interest rate because of the increased risk to the issuer.

The third option is to apply for a debit card. Debit cards are cards that can be used depending on how much money the user transfers to the specific card. Consequently, the risk of running up credit card debt is nil. There are also no finance charges to contend with, only minimal fees for application, start-up and ATM card.

Credit cards for bad credit score were designed to rebuild credit that had been damaged. For those with no credit or poor credit there are secured credit cards, bad credit credit cards and debit cards but there are also unsecured cards that can be used for this purpose. These cards generally come with low credit lines (around $300) and additional fees. This kind of card will not allow you to on shopping sprees but it will certainly help you restore your damaged credit history. If you’re disciplined and pay all your bills on time you can ask for a credit increase after a while with an end goal of upgrading to an easy approval credit card with guaranteed 10,000 limit. Isn’t that wonderful? But in the meantime let’s concern ourselves with finding easy approval credit card applications with bad credit score.

By: Raul T.

People who have bad credit have many more credit card options today than they did just a few years ago. Maybe this is contributed to the theory of supply and demand or maybe the credit card companies just realized how much more money they can make by charging high interest rates to people with bad credit. I personally think it may be a little of both.

But no matter what the reason why, there are many credit card companies willing to grant credit to people with bad credit these days. This is good news to those with tarnished credit records. But people with bad credit should evaluate what actions got their credit into bad shape in the first place before applying for more credit. For many people their bad credit is due to uncontrollable circumstances like the loss of a job or medical reasons. But for other people, their bad credit is due to irresponsible financial decisions. If you have bad credit and it was caused by the second reason, it is imperative that you change your credit habits. Otherwise you will never improve your credit score and will always end up paying high interest rates and fees.
Higher interest rates are obviously the price you have to pay in order to obtain a credit card if you have bad credit.

Fortunately, if you are responsible with your bad credit credit card and make your monthly payments on time, over time you can improve your credit score and eventually get a lower interest rate. Make sure that the bad credit credit card you are applying for frequently reports to the major credit bureaus. This will insure that your credit score will improve as quickly as possible by having your positive payment activity reported.

There are credit card websites that have researched the best bad credit credit card deals available and have listed them in an easy to read format. Visit http://www.amex-visa-mastercard.com to look at the details. Many of the bad credit credit cards listed on this site do monthly credit bureau reporting.

We have all run into hard times and made mistakes with our credit activity. Thankfully there are bad credit credit card offers available that will still give you the freedom of having a credit card along with giving you the chance to rebuild your credit.

————————-

Note: This article may be freely reproduced as long as the authors bio paragraph at the bottom of this article is included, the article is published “as is” (unedited) and all URL’s are made active hyperlinks with no syntax changes.

————————-

By: Beth Pardue

If you have a low credit score, you’re not alone. Millions of Americans have run into problems with debt. The good news is that there are certain steps you can take to rebuild your score. And you can even use a credit card to do so. Bad credit credit cards are designed to help you move forward and put your financial history where it should be: in the past.

Apply for One

Your first step toward a better financial future is to look online for a credit card designed for people with bad credit. Many credit card websites include a special category for this. You can compare various options side by side. You’ll notice that many are issued under well-known names such as Mastercard.

As you search online, you may find that this type of card includes a number of fees. You can expect to pay a fee for signing up, and you may be charged an annual fee as well as a monthly fee. All of these charges can seem overwhelming. While they are more than what regular cards charge, they are designed to give people in your position another chance at credit. A low score can make it difficult to take out a loan or get any kind of monetary help. This card, if used properly, will help you move back up the financial ladder.

Use it Wisely

How do these cards help you rebuild your credit? First, most of them report to three or four major credit bureaus every month. This means that if you make a purchase and pay it off, the company will show the bureaus that you are able to manage your finances. Over time, this will help improve your credit score. In a few months, or in some cases, longer, your rating may be high enough to apply for a different card with lower fees. Continue to use the new one wisely, and you’ll see your score climb higher and higher.

Things to Remember

Bad credit credit cards can help repair your finances. They will not, however, do all of the work for you. You must use them properly in order to see positive results. In other words, you’ll need to start taking charge of your spending habits. Try making a budget to see how much income you have and how you spend it. Doing so will help you keep track of your money. Pay your bills on time each month, including your credit card balance.

Consider your new card to be a chance to reestablish your credit. Take the time to read through the terms and conditions attached to it. Understand the fees involved, and pay them promptly. When you make a purchase, check your account and pay off the balance right away. These measures will help your credit rating climb quickly.

Small steps are the key to a brighter future. Over time, other companies will notice that you have established a better credit rating. Eventually, you’ll be able to get more cards, take out a loan, or set up a home mortgage. So start with a bad credit credit card, and get your financial life on track, one purchase at a time.

By: Stephanie Andrews

The answer to the question; how do I repair my credit; seems to depend on who you ask. If you ask Fair Isaac or one of the credit bureaus, they will tell you that it takes time and patience. Some “experts” say that only time can repair bad credit. A leading credit repair company says that bad credit can be deleted. In response to disbelief, they show tens of thousands of deleted listing, including bankruptcies.

When you ask; how do I repair my credit, the most common answer is review the information on your credit report. Due to a recently enacted law, consumers can view and print copies of their credit reports at no charge by visiting http://www.annualcreditreport.com. If information on your credit reports is inaccurate, obsolete, misleading or unverifiable, you can dispute the items with the credit bureau. You can write to the creditor that made the report and ask that the information be removed. You can do this on your own or you can hire a leading credit repair company to do it for you.

Often depending on the products that they sell, different companies will give you different answers to the question; how do I repair my credit. For instance, companies that offer credit cards to people with bad credit tell people that these credit cards will improve their credit. However, this may not be the case. Typical unsecured credit cards for people with bad credit charge fees that are nearly as high as the initial credit limit. According to Fair Isaac, inventors of the FICO credit scoring process, amount of “available” credit is a big determining factor in your credit score. Simply having a credit card will probably not improve your credit score. A leading credit repair company says that removing negative items from your credit reports will have the single biggest impact on your FICO credit score.

Disreputable credit repair companies may advise you to apply for an EIN, if you ask them; how do I repair my credit. This is a technique that is not recommended by a leading credit repair company. An EIN or employer identification number is a number used by the IRS to designate a business. If you do not own a small business, you should not apply for one. Some companies which advertise personal credit report repair recommend that a person apply for an EIN and use that number instead of their social security number when applying for credit. It is illegal to provide false information on a credit application.

So, after you look at the many answers to; how do I repair my credit, you will probably see that there are many ways. Some work. Some do not. Some are illegal. You can choose to do it yourself or you can hire a leading credit repair company to do it for you. If you wait for bad credit to be removed from your personal credit report, then it will take a long time and you will not improve your credit scores. Even people with the worst credit can obtain a secured credit card, have a friend or family member with good credit list them as a co-applicant and work to achieve personal credit report repair. If you do nothing, your scores will not improve. There are companies that sell software programs, credit repair kits, books, CDs and DVDs on the subject of credit repair. You are not the only person asking; how do I repair my credit. There is also a lot of free information. It will take time and patience if you try to do it on your own, but it can be done. You may see quicker results if you hire a leading credit repair company and for certain problems a credit repair lawyer is best.

By: Patsy Rose
