Credit repair companies make promises that they can remove items from credit reports once they are paid. But this is not possible. Even IF it was, credit repair cos. have no guarantee that it can happen. But it actually can't because of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. So-called credit repair cos. are a waste of money.
If you can't pay your bills with how they are right now, you should contact consumer credit counseling, debt consolidation, or debt management. Each of those are different from each other and different from credit repair. A reputable company will tell you that all they can do is help you pay off the debt, and with that, your credit will improve over time.
