Apprehended Violence Order (AVO)


Consider getting an Apprehended Violence Order.

This is a Court order which protects you against acts of violence including physical assault, harassment, intimidation, stalking, and attacks on your property.

The order can prevent someone from approaching you, contacting you, or coming near where you live or work.

Police can obtain an AVO on your behalf, or you can apply for an order yourself. For information and support on AVOs contact:
